and 11 Municipalities around Sapanca): The planning service of Sapanca Lake
basin was conducted for the first time in Turkey by involving 11
municipalities and by ensuring the participation by Ministry of Environment
too. Sapanca Lake basin, with its natural beauties and potentials, is a very
important recreation area for industries intensified in Istanbul Metropolis
and Adapazarı and Izmit. TEM Motorway has approached the Basin to the areas
which are more developed than the Country, with respect to population and
labor force and economic level. The principal aim is to obtain an Environment
Arrangement Plan that will monitor socio-economic development and the
physical pattern development in line with this development.

City Center Protection Improvement Plan, an Urban Design and landscape
Project and Relevant Details was prepared, covering the pedestrianization of
the area between Alaeddin Hill and Mevlana, one of the most important axes of
Konya, and converting Kayalıpark Section, which is surrounded by monumental
buildings such as Government Hall, Şerafeddin Mosque and Post-Office

touristic traditional centres as a whole in Turkey. MS Thesis partly publicised in the
Competition Book.
